New Executive Director Announced
Monday, August 11, 2008

Ann Morse Abdella has been named the new Executive Director for the Chautauqua County Health Network (CCHN) and Chautauqua Integrated Delivery System, LLC (IDS). She was recently promoted to this position after serving as the organizations’ Program Administrator since 2004. She succeeds Stan Lundine who founded both organizations over a decade ago.
Ms. Abdella graduated from the College of William & Mary in Virginia and holds a bachelors degree in health sciences. She has 25 years of experience in health promotion/disease prevention programming and management in both the public and private sectors. Ms. Abdella retains many professional and civic affiliations including being a Health Leadership Fellow with the Community Health Foundation of Western & Central New York, host of “The Women’s Health Show” on Time Warner Cable, and chair of both the Jamestown Audubon Society board of directors and Partners for Prevention coalition.
“I am eager to pursue the challenge of leading CCHN as the organization enters a new stage of growth. Keeping our community healthy by supporting our health care providers as they work to manage and improve the system of care delivery during these very turbulent times remains our biggest priority,” Ms. Abdella said.
CCHN was formed in 1995 and is an organization comprised of the four hospitals in Chautauqua County, their governing boards and medical staffs, dedicated to strengthening the local health and wellness delivery system. CCHN advances the interests of hospitals and patients by strengthening the economic viability of hospitals, promoting access to quality health care related services, facilitating partnerships to address community needs, planning for the efficient delivery of care, and developing appropriate health resources. The IDS is an independent practice association of local physicians and hospitals.
“Ann’s advocacy experience, diverse experience in non-profit environments and her personal knowledge of our community and organization make her an excellent fit for the position”, said Dr. Marlene Garone, Chairman of the CCHN Board of Directors.
Ms. Abdella resides in Kiantone with her husband Stephen.
